Darex has recently returned from the Westec Tradeshow in Los Angeles, CA with exciting results. Darex was featuring the newest advancements in drill grinding technology with the introduction of the XT-3000 Auto Sharpener. Along with this introduction the sales staff were also promoting and demonstrating the rest of the Darex line of cutting tool sharpeners.
Although the Tradeshow was smaller in terms of exhibitors, the number of visitors to the Darex booth was up from years past. “The quality of the visitors at the show was very high” mentioned Tom Fallon, V.P. of sales “the attendees were there to see new machinery, learn about new techniques, and make purchases. They had a clear focus, and spent a good amount of time finding what they needed.” The sales staff also mentioned that because of the new XT Auto drill Sharpener, the booth was a destination not only for new customers interested in sharpening, but also existing customers interested in adding the automatic feature to their current XT3000.
At the end of the Show, the Darex team was happy to return home with high quality sales leads, and contacts to follow up on. While the industry has undergone changes in the last couple of years, the interest in Darex products remains high. During difficult economic times, saving money is more important than ever. Bringing your drill sharpening in house can help any shop save both time and money. If you weren’t able to attend the Westec show,
Darex will also be exhibiting their line of tool grinders at the upcoming Eastec show in Springfield Massachusetts, as well as the IMTS show in Chicago Illinois.
